Amplified Voice Manual Therapy

Level 1 Course

This 2-day, in-person course teaches you many hands-on techniques to address voice
problems in singers, teachers, professional voice users, or anyone suffering from voice-
related disorders. Participating in the course will help you understand how the voice
works, the relationship between the vocal mechanism and the rest of the body, and how
problems can arise. You will leave this course armed with skills you can take into the
clinic the very next day to start helping your clients improve their voice!
 
In this course, you will learn:

  • How voice and sound are produced

  • The relationship between trunk/head/neck anatomy and voicing

  • Anatomy and biomechanics of the vocal mechanism 

  • Palpating peri-laryngeal, temporomandibular and intra-oral

structures 

  • Assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal factors of voicing

  • Developing an individualized vocal health program for your client

  • Anyone suffering from painful or effortful voicing, swallowing difficulties or transitory voice loss

  • Patients who have had cervical, thyroid, or laryngeal surgeries, or radiation therapy.
